Our Story
A Hub for Recovery, Community & Connection
Don't Rest on Your Laurels Club, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) sober social club coming to Laurel, MD — a dedicated hub for 12-step meetings, social activities, and a community built on recovery.
What We're Building
We're creating a space that is specific to the needs of the local Laurel 12-step community — accessible, welcoming, and 100% free from alcohol and drugs. A real place to belong.
Sober & Safe
Alcohol and drug free. Everyone is welcome regardless of where they are in their recovery journey.
Community First
Football games, movie nights, coffee, conversation — a common area built for real connection, not just meetings.
Independent & Nonprofit
We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a board of directors. 12-step meetings rent space from us and operate as fully separate entities — we are not affiliated with AA or any 12-step organization.
How We Got Here
Don't Rest on Your Laurels Club, Inc. was founded to create something the local recovery community has long needed: a dedicated hub for 12-step meetings and social activities right here in Laurel, MD.
We have received a Legislative Bond Initiative (LBI) from the State of Maryland — a grant that can only be used for renovation or purchase of space. It cannot be used for lease payments, utilities, insurance, or furnishings. We have already secured our lease, which has activated the grant and put renovation within reach.
Now we need to raise $100,000 for Club setup and operations expenses — things like utilities, insurance, and furnishings that the grant cannot cover. We're looking for 100 people to pledge $1,000 each — or whatever you can give. Every dollar moves us closer to opening our doors.
Charitable contributions are tax-deductible. Provide your contact information and we'll send you a secure pay link.
